Lunar big bird

I published this photo over one year ago in my website where I wrote:

As some of you may know, I've ben trying for months to take shots of these 'big birds' that every now and then fly over my house. I call them 'big birds' because they are not always the same and I really don't know what they are, if vultures or what. Last spring I had a great opportunity because they were flying quite low but I wasted it because I had not configured my camera properly. And now that I think I know how to configure the camera (shutter speed, ISO, VR setting, etc.) they fly too high for my 70-300 zoom. A few days ago one afternoon I had this opportunity (composition opportunity, not low height) but the result in colour was kind of 'dull' because of the 'ugly' sky. So, I tried B&W and some other PP 'goodies' and I came up with this that I kind of liked. But don't ask me to explain or repeat what I exactly did because I am not sure and don't remember.
